AOH’s past president’s dinner draws a crowd

More than 30 members of our division and their spouses attended a dinner Saturday evening at the City Tavern in Manassas to recognize Patrick Sullivan’s two years of service as our president in 2022 and 2023.

Half a dozen other past presidents were among the group who gathered in a private banquet room for a dinner featuring salmon or prime rib.

Father Daniel Reuwer, our chaplain, led the group in prayer before the meal.

Sullivan, the Father Kelley Division’s 24th president, received a recognition plaque from the current president, Greg Gibbons.

Sullivan also received a flask that should fit nicely into the kilt that typically will wear to the Ancient Order of Hibernian events.

The City Tavern is a new venue for this event, which in the past was held at the beginning of the calendar year the same evening that new officers are sworn in.

Past president James P. McCusker selected the new location and handled all the arrangements.

People attending the dinner expressed enthusiastic support for the new location and new date for the dinner.
