Minutes April 14, 2025 meeting

Meeting opened at 7:00 PM, Marshall checked membership cards,
Opening Prayer said, Pledge of Allegiance recited, and President Greg
Gibbons introduced a potential member, Mike Gajewski. A motion was
made and passed to accept him into membership. Brian Tumulty
administered the AOH oath.
President Gibbons then asked Ryan Driscoll to talk about his trip this
summer to Ireland as a Young Student Ambassador of the AOH.
Nationwide there were only ten selected for this program. It will be a two
week trip in late summer. Ryan will be graduating from GMU this Spring.

President’s Report:
Brothers,
We are having a good year with a lot of participation. We went through a
very busy time
And still have a few more activities before things slow down. Thank you
for stepping up. We should focus on fun activities, membership growth and
finances. JP McCusker was presented
with the Commodore John Barry Medal at the past president’s dinner. JP was thanked for all he has

done for the Division, especially the Trip to Ireland Raffle. Thanks also to
Dennis Connoly and Paul Hannan for the entertainment at the Past
President’s Dinner.
Communications and Correspondence Paul Hannan: None.
Proposition on Candidate for Membership: Mike Gajewski. Brian
Tumulty swore him in.

    UNFINISHED BUSINESS
  2. TRIP TO IRELAND WINNER DD ROSS, ALSO TICKETS. WE
    WERE SOLD OUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE DRAWING. Thank
    you, JP, and all who helped with ticket sales.
  3. Tom Maserick report on St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance March 15.
    It was a very successful event, and $300 was made.
  4. John Maserick report on the Fish Fry March 21. Very successful. We raised $1,060.
  5. JP McCusker spoke about the past president’s dinner: Very nice time.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. We will continue to have the Financial Secretary and the Treasurer
    here at 6:30 pm to handle claims. Please get here early if you need
    reimbursement.
  2. Rich remains in the hospital, and we will need a temporary Financial
    Secretary and eventually a new Financial Secretary.
  3. All Saints Festival 2 & 3 May Clean Up Team, Sign Up Sheet
  4. Road Clean up May 10
  5. Bill Yochem replacement ( He is moving out of the area.)
  6. Hunger Project May 17.
  7. Golf EVENT Scheduled 2 June 2025
  8. House of Mercy , $200 Sponsorship, motion made, seconded and
    passed, (Program ad for AOH) High Tea May 17 at 1pm KofC
    sponsored for the House of Mercy
  9. Club Room May 16 coordinate with GBC
    Good and Welfare of the Order:
    Tom Canavan, his wife just got a cancer diagnosis; Deacon Brian prayers
    to help with recovery from a fall; Maggie McCusker, for her recovery; Chris for
    his aunt battling cancer, Rick Aleksy is in the hospital Preston led the
    Prayer to St. Jude for the intentions.
    Adjournment motion was made, seconded, passed. Closing Prayers
    recited. Prayers for deceased members and family, to include Kay
    Sullivan.
    Prayers for Vocations said.
    50/50 raffle was WON BY GREG GIBBONS
    The meeting concluded at 7:50 pm. Refreshments were served after the meeting.
