Forty members of the Father Kelley Division and their family members attended the 9 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 17, at All Saints Church in Manassas to commemorate the feast of Our Lady of Knock.
Although the Catholic Curch celebrated the feast on August 17 this year, the anniversary of the apparition in 1879 is August 21.
“Our Lady appeared at the gable wall of the Parish Church, accompanied by St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist,” states the Knock shrine website. “Central to the Apparition was the appearance of the Lamb on the altar, unique to the Knock Apparition.”
“Knock Shrine is honoured to have been officially recognised as an international Eucharistic and Marian Shrine by Pope Francis, through the Pontifical Council for New Evangelisation in March 2021,” the website notes.

Locally, thirty members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and family members who had attended the Mass gathered afterward to share breakfast in Bishop Russell Hall of the nearby Knights of Columbus building.
