Bishop Knestout Of Richmond responded last week to news of a leaked FBI Memo detailing that Catholics,, particularly those who revere the Latin Mass, are potentially tied to white nationalism and capable of violence. Bishop denounced these allegations and asserted that the Catholic Church has no tolerance for discrimination or violence and called on political leaders to also condemn the allegations.
Over 300 attacks on Catholic Churches and facilities since 2020, 140 since the Roe Reversal this past summer.
Nurse Practitioner Paige Casey who worked for years at an Alexandria based CVS was allowed to sign an exemption which allowed her to honor her religious conscionable objection to dispensing abortifacients until she was notified that they (CVS) would no longer honor her exemption. Casey was then fired after she refused. She has filed suit in Prince William from where she resides. Chairman Huber called on the brothers to take the time to call or write a letter objecting to such actions and take their business elsewhere in matters such as this concerning the display of principle and courage that Casey is displaying as a young Catholic woman.
Chairman Huber shared the incident regarding the arrest of Robert Houck by the FBI after local misdemeanor charges were dropped concerning Houck defending his son from a pro- abortion activist during a vigil outside a PA abortion facility. Approximately 15 to 20 armed agents arrested him at his home in the early morning hours in front of his wife and 7 children. Houck was just recently acquitted of by a jury of his peers. Chairman Huber called upon the brothers to be mindful/ vigilant concerning the overreach of the federal government; something he had not witnessed to this extent during his 27 years as a federal agent who worked closely with the FBI through his career.
