Starting in August, our monthly meetings have moved to the local VFW hall in Manassas at 9304 Centreville Road next to the fire station.

The new meeting venue is spacious and located at ground level, making it easier for those older members who have trouble going up or down steps.

Francis Cannon VFW Post 7589 receives a monthly payment of $50 from the Father Kelley Division, allowing us to use their hall.

Post 7589 meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Our business meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Previously we had been meeting at the George Brent Knights of Columbus where the options for holding a meeting had drawbacks. One option was a basement room with a long stairway that some older members found difficult to use. The other option was a club room with a bar in the middle that required some members to sit on barstools and obstructed the view of others.

Our new meeting hall has a capacity of 99 people and includes a small kitchen at the back of the room.

At our September meeting shown above, food was laid out for members to share at the end of the meeting.
